Kenneth Shimozaki, DPM

Dr. Shimozaki is a native of Stockton. He obtained his undergraduate degree from UC Davis and went on to his medical education at the California College of Podiatric Medicine. After finishing residency training at VA San Francisco, he returned to practice in Stockton where he formed Valley Podiatry Group and Pacific Wound Center. Two busy practices that have been helping patients in the San Joaquin Valley for many years. 

He has been active in the Stockton community with his wife Karen, while raising his two sons who have left for undergraduate studies at Harvard and UCLA. He continues to practice with interests in all aspects of podiatry. In his leisure time he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family. 


Josh Stauffer, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Stauffer is a graduate of the University of California Irvine and a graduate of the California School of Podiatric Medicine.  His residency was completed at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Illinois where he had comprehensive training in forefoot, rearfoot and ankle surgery. He has experience in sports medicine, trauma, and reconstruction. He is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. 

Dr. Stauffer grew up in Southern California where he was active in various sports and extracurricular activities. He enjoys running, swimming and exploring the outdoors. Dr. Stauffer is looking forward to helping patients with all of their foot and ankle needs.


Dr. Amrita Kaur, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Kaur completed her undergraduate from University of Nevada, Reno with Bachelors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She later completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. After graduating from DMU, she completed a three-year residency program from Tucson Medical Center, in Tucson, AZ where she received extensive training from diabetic limb salvage, wound care, elective reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Kaur is committed to providing excellent, and compassionate care to all her patients. She individualizes her treatment approach to each patient to help achieve a full and early return to function. She believes in communicating and educating her patients by including them in their treatment and healing process.

Dr. Kaur was raised in a Punjabi household and is fluent in speaking both Hindi and Punjabi. She enjoys spending time with her family and in her spare time, she loves reading, shopping, watching her favorite TV series and hiking with her husband. She has enjoyed getting to know Bay Area and is loving everything that it has to offer.

 
 


Dr. Rabeea Abbas, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Abbas is a Bay Area native. She became interested in medicine at a very young age, and graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Neurobiology and Applied Mathematics. She became interested in podiatric medicine and surgery the year after finishing college when she became aware of the sports medicine aspect of the specialty. She grew up playing a lot of soccer and basketball, and hopes to help her patients return to their likes and interests. For medical school, Dr. Abbas attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine where she graduated as Class Valedictorian. She then completed her residency training in forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot surgery at the Kaiser Permanente north bay consortium, serving a wide array of patients in Vallejo, Santa Rosa, San Rafael, and Vacaville, a level 2 Trauma hospital.
 
Dr. Abbas is currently working towards her board certification with the american board of foot and ankle surgery (ABFAS)  in forefoot and rearfoot surgery.  Dr. Abbas now lives in Stockton with her husband, Amir. They enjoy camping, hiking, playing the violin and traveling as well as indulging in the local food scenes. 


Jonathan DeGuzman, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. DeGuzman first became interested in Podiatry as a pre-medical student with foot and ankle pain. A podiatrist quickly diagnosed the issue. After successful treatment he was able to run his first marathon and knew that podiatry would be a great profession where he could work with people from all walks of life and all age groups. 

Dr. DeGuzman grew up in Southern California where he obtained degrees in Economics and Biology with honors at the California State University at Northridge. Dr. DeGuzman then attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine. During his medical education he took an interim year to volunteer in Alaska where he was part of several grass roots community organizations helping at risk youth and children with special health care needs. He received residency training at DVA Palo Alto Health Care System, a teaching affiliate of Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. He obtained additional training at Kaiser San Jose Hospital.

He is board qualified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

He is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle medicine/surgery, but takes particular interest in diabetic limb preservation, wound healing and preventative health. 

After graduating residency, Dr. DeGuzman decided to call Stockton his home along with his wife, Angela and their four children. He enjoys getting to spend time with his family, exploring the outdoors and volunteering for various charitable organizations.
